UNDERRATED | JONATHAN GLAZER

Easily one of the best music video directors of all time, and the director of three feature films that are each (arguably... or inarguably) masterpieces. Yet he seems so easily forgotten, and his work often misunderstood.

If you like the works of Chris Cunningham, and Leos Carax, it only seems natural that you'd be a fan of Glazer. Also, if like me, you're sad that we'll never get another Kubrick film, watch BIRTH. It has the feel and tone of something Kubrick would've made. That's high praise, but it's well deserved.

I'm always excited to see anything he puts out and would recommend watching any (and all) of his work.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

With all the tragic headlines recently, in regards to police officers abusing their authority, it only felt appropriate to post this exceptional piece of work from Seattle filmmaker Stephan Gray.

From the director:
S/O to all the officers in uniform who live true to the words, "To Serve And Protect". Thank you for all of your efforts to improve safety and genuinely keep the peace.
To all the officers in uniform who only serve and protect themselves...to those filled with hate...those unqualified to possess a firearm... unfit to be an authority figure... to those who have unjustly taken the lives of others...and continue to go without consequence......may your pig body rot upon the floors of Pandemonium, and eyes open for eternity.

FILMMAKERS

This is a great piece of cinema history and is mandatory viewing for any cinephile. George Lucas made this BTS documentary on Francis Ford Coppola as he directs his film, The Rain People. This was the film Coppola made right before making arguably his greatest film, The Godfather. It's amazing that this was even captured. The documentary is appropriately titled, Filmmaker.
